Before playing, please read "To use [the DS] safely..." in the instruction manual.

Manuals are also called 解説書（かいせつしょ）or 取扱書（とりあつかいしょ）. I don't know if there's a major difference between these, though. If I were to take a stab at it based on my own observations, 取扱説明書 seems to be used for hardware manuals, and 解説書 are software. 取扱書 seems to just be a shorter version of 取扱説明書?

本体 refers to the main part of a machine (so not peripherals [周辺機器（しゅうへんきき）/ペリフェラル] or such, I assume).
